Preethi Damodaran

Co-Founder, Giocare Cloth Pads

Preethi Damodaran is a 22-year-old social entrepreneur based out of Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu who aims at providing sustainable sanitation solutions in the Menstrual Hygiene Management sector. Securing her university level ranking for Outstanding Performance at Business Management studies from Bharathidasan University, she co-founded Giocare Reusable cloth pads along with her father Padma Shri S. Damodaran. So far GREAT PVT LTD has promoted more than 6,30,000 reusable cloth pads in India through social as well as digital marketing and also provided menstruation awareness education to more than 8,00,000 women and adolescent girls in 6 southern states of India with the support of Gramalaya Sanitation NGO. Through manufacturing and selling reusable cloth pads, more than 60 deserving women are provided with employment opportunities. Her vision is to Educate, Empower and Emancipate women from all menstruation-related health issues and make sustainable menstrual products affordable and accessible to everyone in India. Improving her Leadership skills to develop her organization and achieve her vision while being trained with more like-minded social entrepreneurs is the motivation for joining the L4G WSE program of Amani institute.
