Sharmishtha Dattagupta

Sharmishtha is a coach and facilitator, social entrepreneur, and former assistant professor for Geobiology. After more than 17 years in the sciences and academia where she researched unusual ecosystems such as in the deep-sea and in sulfur-rich caves, Sharmishtha shifted careers to become a coach and entrepreneur dedicated to supporting others be more authentic, balanced, and creative leaders in their lives and professions. Reconnecting with nature is a central theme of her workshops and retreats, and she includes mindfulness practices, somatic awareness and ontological methods in her holistic coaching approach. She has recently started a permaculture-based center for fostering creativity and entrepreneurship in economically underpriveleged tribal women of north-eastern India, where she integrates her knowledge of ecology with that of facilitating social change.
