Currently the Country Director of the Amani Institute in Brazil, Julia leads the local team and focuses on scaling our work in Brazil and Latin America.
Julia is from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. After attending the Amani Institute's Post-Graduate Certificate in Social Innovation Management in Kenya in 2014, she moved to São Paulo to co-found Amani Institute in Brazil. She successfully launched the Social Innovation Management program there, developed and launched Formação em Impacto Social (our program in Portuguese), delivered custom training programs for NGOs, private companies and institutions, and represented Amani Institute locally and globally at conferences and events.
She did her undergraduate studies in Communication. She has extensive experience in international peace-building and has been promoting youth exchange programs for 16 years. She has a prominent background in the education sector with experiences that range from training teachers in rural schools in the Amazon to building curriculum and delivering classes for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship programs. Today, Julia`s passion and focus are on inspiring people in their search for purpose and helping them build a career of meaning and impact.
